Terms and Conditions:
1. From now to 30 June, 2012, every successful applicant will be entitled to receive 5,000 Fubon Credit Card Bonus Points ("Bonus Points") as welcome offer. Principal cardholders can apply for the Octopus Automatic Add-Value Service ("AAVS") for up to 3 family members, while supplementary cardholders can only apply for AAVS for himself/herself.
2. There is no application fee for first time AAVS applicants. A handling fee of HK$20 will be charged by Octopus Cards Ltd. for customers who transfer the AAVS from one bank to another, or reactivate the AAVS following suspension. AAVS is applicable to Octopus Card & Products.
3. This offer is inapplicable to customer using AAVS with HK$500 Top-up amount.
4. Credit cardholders who successfully apply for AAVS are eligible for the welcome offer. The Bonus Points will be credited to the Fubon Credit Card accounts designated for AAVS of eligible credit cardholders within 6-8 weeks after successful application. Each successful applicant of AAVS (including each family member) cannot cancel the AAVS service and Fubon Credit Card within 6 months. Otherwise, Fubon Bank ("the Bank") reserves the right to deduct HK$50 from cardholder’s card account as administration fee and the Bonus Points which have been already credited to the cardholder. Each successful applicant can only be entitled to the promotion offer for once during the promotion period. The welcome offer is only applicable to the applicants who have never used AAVS with the Bank.
5. Cardholders will receive 1 Bonus Point for every dollar they top-up the Octopus Cards with their Fubon Credit Cards. Bonus Points will be credited to the Fubon Credit Card accounts designated for AAVS directly.
6. Whenever the Octopus Card’s stored value is zero or negative, or the remaining value plus the maximum negative value is not enough to cover the intended payment, HK$250 will be automatically transferred (for at most one time only each day) from your Fubon Credit Card to top-up each Octopus Card.
7. For the application fees of Personalized Octopus Cards (applicable to applicants of Personalized Octopus Cards) and the handling fee for transferring the AAVS from one bank to another or reactivation of the AAVS (applicable to applicants who apply for AAVS more than one time), no Bonus Points would be earned.
8. Cardholders can apply this service by fax, mail or phone. Where an application is sent by fax, the Bank is entitled to treat the document received as true and correct in all respects and shall be binding on such applicant. Where an application is made by phone (applicable only to Principal Cardholders), the Bank shall be entitled to use the record of such communication in court as evidence, without any further enquiry on the Bank's part as to the authority or identity of the person making or purporting to make such communication regardless of the amount of money involved or circumstances prevailing and notwithstanding any error or misunderstanding or lack of clarity. The Bank reserves the right of requesting additional information or documents.
9. All applications and privileges are subject to the credit status of the credit cardholders' account. The Bank and Octopus Cards Limited reserve the right for the approval of all applications and privileges.
10. The Octopus Automatic Add-Value Service is provided by Octopus Cards Limited, the Bank shall not assume any liability whatsoever resulting from or in connection with, whether directly or indirectly, such products and services. Any claim, complaint, or dispute arising out of, or in connection with, the said products and services shall be resolved between cardholders and Octopus Cards Limited.
11. In case of any inconsistency between English and Chinese versions of these Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.
