The website looks similar to the former official website of the Bank. Fubon Bank advises that this fraudulent website has absolutely no affiliation with the actual website of the Bank which is http://www.fubonbank.com.hk.

Customers are alerted to bogus emails asking them to provide banking information by different means such as account activation request and making fund transfers from their Fubon Bank accounts. Customers are reminded to be cautious of suspicious emails and to report such emails to the Fubon Bank’s official enquiry numbers at 2566 8181 and 2842 6085.

To protect the privacy and integrity of your banking relationship with Fubon Bank, please remember that Fubon Bank will never ask customers for sensitive information, such as your account number, Customer Reference Number and password by email.

Fubon Bank has already reported this matter to the Hong Kong Police, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and the Securities and Futures Commission.
