Year 2022: Fubon Bank signed Memorandum of Understanding with Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency to drive green finance in April 2022.

Fubon Bank opened its first Green Branch – Taikoo Shing Branch in July 2022.

Fubon Bank successfully arranged a syndicated green loan under a non-recourse project finance structure for a solar electricity producer operated under the Feed-in Tariff Scheme introduced by the HKSAR Government in collaboration with the two power companies to promote renewable electricity in Hong Kong and garnered two honours at the Hong Kong Green and Sustainable Finance Awards 2022 in December 2022.

Fubon Bank launched the revamped Mobile Banking App “Fubon+” and the brand new “FB Invest+” Securities Trading Mobile App in December 2022.

The Board of Directors approved the sale of all the Bank’s shares held in FB Investment Management Limited to Fubon Securities (BVI) Limited in May 2018. The transaction was completed on 12 February 2019.

Fubon Bank completed the transfer of all the Bank’s shares in Xiamen Bank Co., Ltd to its parent company, Fubon Financial Holdings, in November 2018.

Fubon Bank completed the redemption of USD193 million undated noncumulative subordinated Additional Tier 1 Capital Securities from Fubon Financial Holdings in December 2018.

In July, Fubon Bank celebrated the official opening of the Kowloon Main Branch and Commercial Banking Centre. The Kowloon Main Branch was also the first iBranch of the Bank in Kowloon.

Shatin Branch became the first iBranch of Fubon Bank in the New Territories when it opened in August.

The Bank invited the World Snooker Champion, Miss Ng On Yee, to feature in its new brand-building campaign aimed to bringing out “The Fubon Experience”.

The Bank completed the issuance of Additional Tier 1 Capital of USD193 million on 29 December to optimize its Tier 1 Capital and provide a solid foundation for its future business growth. The issuance was fully subscribed by Fubon Financial Holdings, the Bank’s parent company, demonstrating its continual commitment and support for the Bank.

The launch of iBranch has been well received by customers. Fubon Bank (Hong Kong) has also successfully obtained registration of “iBranch” as its trade mark in Hong Kong.

The Bank entered into a partnership with Fubon Life Hong Kong to broaden its range of insurance products and services for customers.
