System Engineer/Senior System Engineer, Infrastructure, Information Technology
Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support 24x7 server and SAN infrastructure environment
  • Participate in various IT projects to setup server and SAN infrastructure and provide support
  • Communicate with other IT supports teams, vendors and users for server and SAN service requests
  • Troubleshooting and solving server and SAN issues. System performance tuning
  • Prepare server and SAN infrastructure related documents including but not limited to procedures, diagrams, standard operations process and capacity planning report
  • For Senior Engineer, assist Section Head to train up junior engineers, plan for daily support activities and Manage vendor to meet SLA


Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • MCSA / MCSE, VCA / VCP / VCAP / VCDX, IBM AIX, PowerHA and ITIL 3.0 Certifications
  • RHCSA / RHCE and CCNA Certifications are an advantage
  • For Engineer, minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in server and SAN infrastructure support
  • For Senior Engineer, minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience in server and SAN infrastructure management
  • Hands-on experience on various server hardware including but no limited to IBM POWER RS6000/ AS400, HP x86 server and NEC Fault Tolerance machines
  • Hands-on experience on various server operation systems including but not limited to Microsoft Windows Server, IBM RS6000 AIX / VIOS / OS400, VMWare vSphere ESXi and Redhat Linux
  • Hands-on experience on IBM SVC virtualization SAN storage, Fiber-optical switch and other brand SAN
  • Familiar with server management utilities including but not limited to IBM PowerHA, PowerVM/VC, MSCS, ESXi vMotion / VHA, vSphere SRM, CA NIMSoft, Symantec Altiris, CCS, DCS-SA, SEP and SSR
  • Independent working ability to complete assignment
  • Proven problem troubleshooting and solving skills with an emphasis on a timely resolution
  • Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with other technologists and business partners to maintain a secure and reliable server and SAN infrastructure
  • Excellence interpersonal and presentation skills for interfacing technical and non-technical audiences
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Cantonese; Mandarin would be an advantage
