The applicable order types during continuous trading session (Continuous trading session starts from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.)

1. Session Order
Session Order will automatically determine the type of your submitted order according to the order type of the current or next trading session and dispatch your order to the market for matching and execution.

2. Enhanced Limit Order
This order type allows matching with up to 10 price queues, where the price of the trade generated is at or better than the limit price. Unfilled orders after matching will be converted to limit orders at the input limit price.

3. Trigger Order
a)  Description of Trigger Order:
  • Trigger buy order (Price goes up): When stock price goes up and reaches the Trigger Price, the buy order will be sent to market at the designated Order Price. Designated Order Price must be higher than or equivalent to Trigger Price.
  • Trigger buy order (Price goes down): When stock price drops to the Trigger Price, the buy order will be sent to market at the designated Order Price. Designated Order Price must be higher than or equivalent to Trigger Price.
  • Trigger sell order (Price goes up): When stock price goes up and reaches the Trigger Price, the sell order will be sent to market at the designated Order Price. Designated Order Price must be lower than or equivalent to Trigger Price.
  • Trigger sell order (Price goes down): When stock price drops to the Trigger Price, the sell order will be sent to market at the designated Order Price. Designated Order Price must be lower than or equivalent to Trigger Price.
b)  Customers can access "Order Book" via our Internet Stock Trading Service or “FB Invest+” Securities Trading Mobile App to check the latest status of trigger orders whether the trade has been fully executed, partially executed or unexecuted.
c)  Trigger order based on market data to trigger the underlying instruction, there may be market conditions or other reasons that may cause the required data unable to be received by the Bank’s trading system, which may lead to the underlying instruction fail to be triggered. The Bank is not be liable to customers for any losses.
d)  The Bank currently only accepts intraday trigger order instructions, which are only applicable during continuous trading session. If the order cannot be executed before the close of the trading day, the relevant order will be cancelled.

4. Auction Limit Order
It is a limit order with a pre-determined specified price for price auction during the order input period of auction sessions. After the pre-opening session, unfilled at-auction limit orders will be converted to limit orders at the input limit price and carried forward to the continuous trading session provided that the specified price of that At-Auction Limit Order does not deviate 9 times or more from the nominal price.

Good-till-day refers to an Enhanced Limit Order which you can place up to 14 calendar days in advance. If the order is not triggered, cancelled or rejected on a trading day before the expiry date, it will be automatically carried forward to next trading day until the end of the expiry date. If the order has been partially executed on or before the expiry date, the unexecuted portion of the order will be canceled on the same day. In other words, the order will not be carried forward to the end of the expiry date. Session Order, Auction Limit Order and Trigger Order will be valid until the end of each trading day only (i.e. 4:00 p.m./4:10p.m.). All unexecuted transaction instruction(s) will automatically be cancelled after market closed. You may input the order when system is ready to accept next trading day's order again (around 7:00 p.m. on trade day).
